1. Who we are
Apline AI ("Apline AI", "we", "us" or "our") is an AI data services company based at Sector 1, Greater Noida West (Noida Extension), Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh 201306, India. For the personal data described in this policy, we are the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
This policy explains what personal data we collect through aplineai.com (the "Website"), why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have.
2. Personal data we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, work email, company, phone number (optional), the service you're interested in, your project stage and the message you write.
- Join our network form: your name, email, phone number (optional), city and state or country, the kinds of work that interest you, languages, experience level, LinkedIn or portfolio link (optional) and what you tell us about yourself.
- Emails: anything you choose to include when you write to info@aplineai.com.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Website, our hosting provider and the services that deliver our fonts and code libraries may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you request. We do not use this to identify you personally.
Please don't send us sensitive information — such as financial details, health records or government ID numbers — through the Website forms unless we have specifically asked for it.
3. How we use your data
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project with you.
- To assess your application to our contributor network and contact you about suitable opportunities.
- To keep records of our communications with you.
- To operate, secure and improve the Website.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Consent
We process the personal data you submit through our forms on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before sending. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@aplineai.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we carried out before you withdrew it, but we may no longer be able to respond to your enquiry or consider you for opportunities.
5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only where needed, and only with:
- Service providers who help us run the Website and our business — for example website hosting and form-handling providers, and email services — acting on our instructions.
- Clients, only where you are a contributor and it is necessary to set up or deliver a project you have agreed to work on. We will tell you before this happens.
- Authorities, where required by law, court order or to protect our legal rights.
6. Client project data
Data that clients share with us for AI data projects (for example datasets for annotation or evaluation) is not covered by this policy. It is handled under the written agreement with that client, which sets out how the data is accessed, stored, protected and deleted.
7. How long we keep data
- Enquiries: for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then for up to 2 years unless a working relationship begins.
- Network applications: for up to 2 years, so we can contact you when a matching opportunity opens — or until you ask us to delete them.
We may keep some data longer where the law requires it. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. How we protect data
We use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, such as restricting access to people who need it and using secure (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs, we will act on it and notify affected people and authorities as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
- Correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for, subject to legal requirements.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us and receive a response.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
To use any of these rights, email info@aplineai.com from the address you used with us. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
10. Cookies and third-party services
The Website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. To display pages, it loads fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries (Bootstrap and three.js) from jsDelivr. These providers may receive your IP address and browser information when your browser downloads those files, and handle it under their own privacy policies. Links to other websites, such as Google Maps, are governed by those websites' policies.
11. Children
The Website is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and applicants to our contributor network must be at least 18 years old. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Where your data is stored
Some of our service providers may store or process data on servers outside India. Where this happens, we transfer data only as permitted under Indian law and take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will highlight them on the Website.
